Recommendations for a healthy pet:

 DOGS:

  • Yearly: DHLPPC and Rabies vaccines, Lymes vaccine if high risk of exposure to ticks, heartworm test, fecal worm check, wellness lab work.
  • Year-round: Heartworm preventative- Interceptor, Heartgard, Sentinel. Flea control- Advantage, Frontline, Sentinel, Revolution.
  • Every 6 months: Bordetella (Kennel Cough vaccine for boarding, grooming, contact with other dogs). Physical exam/lab work if over age 7or on chronic medications.

CATS:

  • FeLV/FIV test initially- yearly screening if outdoors or fight history.
  • Yearly: FVRCP, Leukemia, and Rabies vaccine, FIV vaccine for outdoor cats, wellness lab work.
  • Year round- Heartworm and flea preventative if outside.
  • Every 6 months- physical exam/ lab work if over age 7or on chronic medications.
